Anita Buzzy-Prentiss

 Anita Buzzy Prentiss graduated in 1993 from Allegheny College with a degree in Communication Arts. She studied documentary filmmaking, and fine art photography. After college, she became an assistant to a commercial and fashion photographer. Working on model portfolios taught her the subtle nuances of lighting, as well as the nuts and bolts of how to make her newfound passion into a sustainable business. At that time, weddings didn't seem very appealing; shooting rigidly posed portraits of people in uncomfortable formal wear was not exactly a dream job! Her future career began to materialize almost by accident, when friends began asking her to take a few candid pictures at their weddings! The overwhelming reactions she got from doing these whimsical side-projects showed Anita the direction that her life, and her art, was about to take. In 1996 Anita made Buzzy Photography a full time business."Most of my clients feel like friends to me. I love what I do so much, that I think people really respond well to that and can relax.
