Live Music Can Add Excitement
When planning your wedding, many brides and grooms look for something that will set their wedding apart from others. That 'something' can be live music. It always adds an elegant touch to any affair. Guests don't expect it, and are pleasantly surprised as they walk into your ceremony or reception hall and find a cocktail pianist or band ready to entertain them. For smaller, more intimate affairs, or for a couple who isn't interested in high-energy dance music, a Trio would be able to provide soft, instrumental background music during cocktails and dinner, then play danceable tunes for your first dance and bridal dance using their vocalist. If you've already budgeted for a DJ, trios often are in the same price range. If you're having a DJ for dancing, using just a pianist for cocktails is always a nice touch--the best of both worlds. The leader of a good band will always take the time to discuss music options with you. The bride and groom should have an idea of what they like, but remember, you're entertaining everyone, not just the bridal party. Choose a band that plays a wide variety of music--a crowd pleaser. If there's a song from your favorite CD that you have your heart set on using at your wedding, then choose a band that has CD capabilites so that they can play that song through their PA system. As for any vendor that you hire for your big day, always take the time to see them in action. Anyone can advertise that they're they are the best, but what you don't want is to find out that they are not what your expected and be disappointed on your wedding day! Do your homework and get references. Hire qualified, experienced musicians, and worry about nothing that day. Carpe Diem. Seize the day. It's yours. You've worked for it.
