Newlywed couples in the Pittsburgh area are cordially invited to participate in a study being conducted by researchers at Carnegie Mellon University.

Carnegie Mellon University Relationships Lab

Although not technically a wedding "Article", I thought this information was worthy of mentioning in the wedding article section. Read below to find out how you can earn an extra $350.00 and help a local research project at the same time.

--------------------------------------------

Newlywed couples in the Pittsburgh area are cordially invited to participate in a study being conducted by researchers at Carnegie Mellon University. Couples will have a unique opportunity to help researchers learn more about relationships and how they influence our lives, as well as earn $350 for contributing their time.

The study involves coming in for 2 separate 2 hour long sessions, during which both couple members will fill out questionnaires and participate in games and activities in our lab, and complete a 7 day palm pilot diary at home. The study also requires couples to return one year later for 2 follow-up sessions.

A Few Criteria:

  1. Couples must be married less than 1 year.
  2. They must be in their first marriage.
  3. Be under 40 years of age.
  4. Reside in the Pittsburgh area for more than 1 year from now.
  5. Both spouses must be proficient in the English language (i.e., read, write and speak fluently).
