Q: My father became
ill and we have had to postpone our wedding. I don’t have any idea when we
will get married now. I have already booked the reception hall, ordered
our cake and flowers, signed contracts, put down deposits on some things,
and paid in full for other things! How can I get my money back?
A: The first thing you’ll
need to do is get out all of the paperwork you have concerning your
wedding. For the most part I am sure most of these places will be very
understanding, and work with you the best they can, under the
circumstances.
Read over the contracts. They should state what will happen in case of
a cancellation. A contract is a legal document, and by signing it you have
agreed to everything in it. You may get a full refund, but more than
likely the amount that you paid for the deposit will not be refunded. Some
companies may hold that deposit until you are ready to use their services
again.
Best regards,
Andi
Q:
How do I find a photographer who will work for only an hour?
A:
I am sure you would have
no problem finding a photographer who will work for one hour! Not knowing
your plans or budget, it would be safe to say you will probably wind up
paying a travel charge, as well as a service charge. Some photographers
offer package deals, regardless of the amount of hours involved. Some have
a two hour minimum. They would probably work for only an hour, although
you would be paying the two hour minimum!
Pittsburghwedding.com has over sixty photographer listings:
Click Here. Most of them have websites you can visit, e-mail addresses
and phone numbers. Compose one e-mail and send copies to all the
photographers you find interesting. Make sure to include your plans in the
e-mail, such as the type of event, location, date and time. I am sure you
will receive some positive response! It will take a little research on
your part, but if you are looking for a professional, it will be worth the
extra effort!

Andi
Q: We are planning
an outside wedding in a tent. The wedding is formal and not a picnic type
wedding. My question is what do you do for bathrooms that aren't those
horrible port-a-potties? A:
Unless there are public bathrooms, or someone’s home nearby, I’m afraid
you might have to go with the port-a-potty. But first, you need to go out
and look at what they have to rent now-a-days! It is really amazing how
much they have changed! They now are made much, much bigger, lights inside
and out, running water in the sink, mirrors for the ladies, and also
different colors. They are very nice for a port-a-potty! Remember they
will only be used for a short time as well! So, keep an open mind and
visit a few rental places. I think you will be pleasantly surprised! Best Regards,
Andi
