Q: I desperately need to have my teeth whitened before my wedding next year, but am not sure what avenue to take. Are teeth whitening products purchased from a dentist better than what you can buy from your local pharmacy?

A: While what you buy in the drug store can be effective, the dentist is your best bet! Here’s why: Prior to bleaching, a thorough dental evaluation is necessary to insure that you are a good bleaching candidate. The dentist can then customize the bleaching process. If there are certain bleaching obstacles such as a crowded dentition, tooth sensitivity or an extremely dark tooth shade, the dentist can then choose the most appropriate bleaching product to deal with these concerns and have various solutions to overcome them.

Andi

Q: I ordered my wedding dress a while ago, it is strapless. Since then I injured my arm and I am going to have about a two inch scar, just in time for the wedding! What can I do?

A: The best way to conceal scars, scratches, and bruises is by using a combination of liquid makeup and pressed powder. First, make sure the makeup matches your skin color on your arm. To prevent makeup from transferring to your gown, do this after you dress! First, apply the liquid makeup with a concealer brush; blend it in with your fingertips. Second, to set it, dust it with the powder! This should do the trick!

Best Regards,
Andi
