Honeymoon Ideas and Travel Questions
I found another travel agent in the newspaper that can give us the same exact honeymoon for a lot less money. Can I cancel our original plans with the other travel agent?
Be careful! Before you do anything, think about a few things first. A lot of travel agencies really make their advertisements sound great! Does it sound too good to be true? Then it probably is! These advertisements can be very enticing. They help these agencies reel in the fish that fall for the bait! Don’t be one of those fish! Do a little investigating.
Check out the credibility of the company. Find out what this agency has to offer. Is it exactly the same as what you have planned with the other agency? After reading the fine print it may still be a good deal, but not as good a deal as you thought!
Is it really worth the money or the hassle? My advice to you would be to stick with your original plans. They are probably already finalized, or close to it. You don’t have to give it much more thought. With an entire wedding to plan, you really don’t need that level of uncertainty about your honeymoon. You will have a lot less stress in the end!
My fiancé and I are looking for a nice place to spend our first night. We are looking for someplace in Pittsburgh, close to Wildwood Golf Club and/or the Airport. Do you have any suggestions?
Right here on Pittsburghwedding.com, under First Night Destinations, Accommodations, and Bed & Breakfasts, you will find some interesting places! They are as follows:
Locust Brook Lodge
Morning Glory Inn
Pittsburgh Comfort Inn
The Villa At Springwood
I hope this will be of some help to you. Congratulations and have a wonderful honeymoon!
My fiancé and I both work extremely high maintenance jobs. We have been together for 5 years and (besides the occasional weekend away) haven’t been able to take the time to go on a vacation together. Somehow we have managed to each get ten days away right after the wedding. Since we are not sure when or if this is going to happen again we want to plan an amazing honeymoon. Neither of us has done much traveling in the past, where do we go??
When it comes to planning your honeymoon, the hardest part is deciding where to go! There are SO many choices, and if you haven’t done much traveling, or even if you have, the decision to pick that one magical place to spend the beginning of your new life can be almost overbearing. Don’t stress!
The first thing you want to do is sit down with your fiancé and ask a few questions. What type of destination are we looking for? Do we want to relax on a beach or do we want to be hiking through Europe somewhere? How long can we take off? How much can we afford? These are some good basic questions to start with. Keep in mind a honeymoon is not the typical vacation. Wedding planning can be a very stressful thing to go through, emotionally and physically, and this will be a time to get away from it all, to reward yourself from the past few months of planning hell, but most importantly a time to enjoy your new husband or wife and a time to enjoy being a new husband or wife.
This is a very special trip for you and your new spouse and one you will always remember and reflect on, possibly a place you will revisit for future anniversaries. Be smart about your planning, don’t overspend or over plan. If you have only four days to get away, don’t spend two of them on a plane. If you are going to be gone for ten days, don’t go to a place where you’ll be bored after two. If more active vacations tend to leave you and your partner stressed, that may not be the best option, as you won’t want to spend your honeymoon nagging at each other. Ask around, see where friends have gone, what they liked, what they didn’t.
After all that, grab your computer and see what Bing has to offer about top honeymoon locations. Here are a few of the more popular honeymoon locations, but remember, you don’t have to pick a destination off a list, go where you and your fiancé will enjoy being together as a new husband and wife the most!
